Full Moon December 2018 and Summer Solstice are on the same day this year!  Click here for a beautiful song and images which celebrate this.

The 22nd December is a big day for us all. In the Southern Hemisphere, we have the Summer Solstice in the wee hours of the morning, marking the Sun’s entry into Capricorn and ushering in the change of seasons. It also represents the balance between light and dark, both inside and outside of ourselves. .

The Solstice is  always a powerful time to release the old and dream in the new, but this one is even more potent than normal, due to the full moon happening later that same day. According to the Farmers Almanac, this  has only happened 10 times since 1793, so it’s rather a rarity.

And there’s more…

This Full Moon also occurs at 0 degrees Cancer, known in Astrology as the Cardinal, Zero or Alpha point,  and representing an outward initiatory movement of energy.

The Moon being at the first degree of Cancer, suggests that our need to engage emotionally,  to love and to nurture, moves from ourselves outwards into the world. It’s a good time to reach out to people you’ve had differences with or those who might feel lonely and isolated at this time of the year.

The Sun at the first degree of Capricorn, suggests that our urge to bring about tangible results moves in an outward direction too, which bodes very well when considering our intentions for the New Year.

The next 3 full moons will also be at 0 degrees of the signs they are in,  so it seems like 2019 will be a year of bold new beginnings.

The Moon  is always her most luminous, most powerful and most feminine when she passes through the nurturing sign of the crab and when she’s in her fullness, Mama Luna really does rule the night sky.

So, this promises to be a sensitizing, softening, heart opening moon, bringing into focus matters  around family, home, safety, security and our goals for the future. If you have been ignoring the needs of your body and soul, then this Full Moon will most certainly shine a light on those areas and show you what needs to be done. If you’ve hardened, she will soften you,  if you allow her to. This is the perfect time to reconnect with your inner world, your ancestors, your family and nourish yourself and each other  with what is real and true.

On the 21st/22nd December, be sure to take some time to reflect on the past year

Think back on what you can remember about each month and how this year has shaped, grown and expanded you.

  • What have the challenges been and have they helped you in any way to reach another level of understanding or self acceptance?
  • What have you achieved and what have you not?
  • Who has entered your life and who has left – and what have you learnt fromhat?

Then, with great empathy and compassion,  recognise the wins,  losses,  challenges and  victories, acknowledging every single thing as an integral part of your journey.

A lovely ritual you can do at the Full Moon Solstice, is to write down anything you want to release from the year and surrender it into a candle flame or a bonfire. Remember that fire transmutes and transforms, changes what was, into something else, so the process of burning is really  powerful.

The New Moon in Capricorn on January 6th will be the best time to set your intentions for the New Year

I’ll be running two  Vision Board Workshops to kick the year off and get those intentions well and truly planted. They will be on  Saturday 19th January  and Saturday 10th February.   Vision boards really work folks. Please see my newsletter or Facebook for details or email me

I will be consulting again from the second week of January, so please  email me  if you’d like to set up a reading.

Thank you all for reading my ramblings this past and for those of you who have had readings done, attended my workshops, retreats or classes or just been really good friends , I’m filled with appreciation and gratitude for your support and for the richness you’ve added to my life.

May you all have a stunning Full Moon Solstice, a blessed Christmas and Fantastic New Year !

A Call to Re-awaken the Sacred Feminine

Hi All

There have been a whole lot of shifts and a changes in my life over the last month or two, which is why I haven’t done a lot of communicating with you all.  At the moment, I am taking a bit of time out to re-connect with myself, just “be” and to set the groundwork for some ideas that have been wanting expression for a long time.

As usual, this strongly coincides with the planetary energy of the moment, so although I wasn’t intending to write anything right now, there is so much heavenly stuff happening, I just had to share it with you.

We have a few pretty major happenings this week in particular – which are sending us very clear messages from the Universe.

On the 15th May, we have a NEW MOON in the sign of TAURUS, coinciding with URANUS, the planet of change, revolution and awakening, moving into Taurus, the sign of stability and sustainability, for the first time in 84 years!  We always feel a shift when one of the outer, slower moving planets moves into a different sign! When Uranus is involved, it is almost always a wake-up call of sorts, for us personally, as well as globally.

To give you some idea of the potential power of these alignments, 7 Years ago, when Uranus (the one who shakes things up)  moved from Pisces (the ocean) into Aries (fire))  there was an earthquake at sea, followed by a Tsunami and resulting in the Fukushima Nuclear disaster.  A move like this does not always depict crisis, but it does demand that we wake up.

The combination of Taurus and Uranus this week is particularly interesting, as they are energetically so completely different. Taurus represents the planet earth, our bodies, stability, security, the five senses, money, food and what we truly value. A New Moon in Taurus ushers in a month of listening to and nourishing our bodies, connecting with nature, slowing down and finding our inner sense of stability and security.

On the other hand, Uranus energy is electrified…like thunder and lightening… laser cutting it’s way through the dross and bringing the truth to the surface.

It’s impossible to predict what will happen over the next 7 years (nor would I want to), but we can almost guarantee that there will be more sweeping changes to our monetary/ banking  systems, Mother Earth, our food supplies, what and who we really value and our relationship  to the Feminine.

For me, this alignment, together with Jupiter moving into Scorpio last October,   is about reawakening and honouring the Sacred Feminine within ourselves and simultaneously bringing healing to our planet.

For so long, the feminine was pushed into the background, diminished, even reviled. For so long, the focus has been on the masculine, on achieving, doing, driving forward, that many of us have forgotten our human “beingness”.

For some of us, we might experience this as a time of exciting change and breakthroughs, but  for others it can feel more like a break down.  The more out of balance we are, the more challenging the energy may be to integrate.  Some of us might be feeling super charged, at odds with others, aggressive, nervous, angry or feeling a heightened need to break free from limitations.

Whatever in our lives is unsustainable, is coming up for review and possible change, in order to bring us back into harmony and balance.

  • Take frequent pauses during the day. Just one conscious breath can bring you into the moment and quieten your nervous system. IF you feel explosive or agitated, take your attention to your breath and soften your body.
  • If you feel your mind running away into the past or the future, bring it back, over and over to the breath or to your 5 senses.
  • Ground yourself every day, as often as you can, by walking barefoot on the earth.
  • Spend time in nature – just being – Sit in one spot and gaze upon something natural, be it a butterfly, a plant, the sea or a little patch of grass.
  • Connect with your body through dance, stretching, walking, yoga etc.
  • As you feel emotions arising, stop and connect with where they are registering in your body. Really connect with what your body is telling you at any moment, because it never stops communicating with you.
  • Gently breathe into those areas of your body
  • As you consistengly put yourself into a state of “beingness”, allow insights, visions and ideas to simply drift in and out of your consciousness.
  • With care and intention, pick a flower or find something from nature, light a candle, put on some beautiful music, run a beautiful bubble bath or essential oils and soak, allowing what wants to arise, to arise. Make this a sacred activity.
  • After your bath, slowly, sensually, rub some beautiful cream into your body. Check in with your body before and after your bath and notice any difference.

I’m currently booking astrology appointments and updates for June, so pop me an email if you’d like to book. Watch this space for new workshops and retreats.

Lifelight Astrology 10th November

By Michelle McClunan

Well here we are… most of us reeling a little, in the wake of a somewhat volcanic week. But…if you’re reading this, you’re still here, breathing in and out, so well done!

If you’ve managed to tear yourself away from US politics for a few minutes, you may have read a bit about the upcoming, beautiful, bountiful, Super Moon in Taurus on the 14th November. This certainly isn’t your garden variety full moon. Bella Luna will be closer to the earth than she’s been since 1948 and won’t be again until 2034. She will apparently be 14% bigger and 30% brighter  than usual, so be sure to stay up late to see her on the 13th or get up early on the 14th to bathe in her.

But bountiful moons aside, if we penetrate through the surface beauty of the spectacle, what does the moment represent for us symbolically?

For me, more than anything, the forthcoming full moon is about examining/ investigating (Sun in Scorpio) our core values & beliefs (moon in Taurus). The moon forms harmonious aspects to Pluto (the plumber) and Chiron (the wounded healer), which assist us in finding healing through excavating the truth that exists within us.

With all the upheavals this year, from Brexit, to the Refugee Crisis, our ongoing South African political and economic challenges and shenanigans and of course the recent rather shocking selection of Trump as President of the US, it seems to me that our values as a people are seriously being called into question.

A personal value system is a set of principles or ideals that drive and/or guide your behaviour. Your personal value system gives you structure and purpose, by helping you determine what is meaningful and important to you. It helps you express who you are and what you stand for.

If you take the Statue of Liberty for example, it symbolically represents many values,  among them friendship between nations and freedom from oppression…. It’s pretty clear that we’re  experiencing a crisis of values !

It boils down to this. If we don’t know what our personal value systems are, how do we go about making important decisions in our lives?  If we have no idea of what we stand for and are driven purely by fear, how do we vote for the right person to run our country or to marry, or find the right place to live, or a job that we enj0y?

It can sometimes be tricky to find out what our specific, personal values are. If you Google “List of Values” , you’ll find hundreds and a lot of them will resonate with you. I mean, who doesn’t want love, happiness, success, connection, stability etc?

But how do we go about finding those that are really close to our hearts, so that we can navigate our lives more successfully?

Here’s something you can try:

Who or what makes your hair stand on end, or the blood rise to your face? What makes you really angry, anxious or upset? What do Trump / Malema/ Zuma / irate taxi drivers/ rude people, / the destruction of Mother Earth/  etc trigger in  you?

How does this process help?  Well, whatever we truly despise, be it egotistical despots, rapists, racists… or cruelty, dishonesty, narcissism… provides clues as to what’s important to us at a fundamental level.

So, take some time to mull it over and pick ten poisons or pet hates and write them down.

Read through your list and, one by one, write down antonyms.

For example –  If “racism” is one pet hate, ask yourself what the opposite of racism is for you. If you hate feeling stifled, then freedom might be on your value list. If you freak out when somebody demeans another person, it might be fairness or justice

You get the drift, I’m sure!

When you are trying to make a decision about something, use the list as a compass to determine whether something fits for you.

If, for example, freedom of expression is at the top of your list, you might want to re-think that relationship where you walk on eggs and are terrified to express yourself. If flexibility is important, you may want to consider how you can loosen the reigns on your control issues.

In the midst of the chaos that surrounds us, let’s allow the Super Moon to  shine her light into the shadowed corners of our psyches and bring to the surface what’ we really hold dear. This needs to be a “no holds barred” investigation. We need to be completely honest with ourselves, even if we choose not to broadcast our findings! Remember, it’s our personal value systems we’re looking for and they don’t really have anything to do with anybody else. It’s when we refuse to acknowledge them,  that the confusion sets in.

And last, but certainly not least, let’s look at how much or how little we value ourselves, because if we don’t,  it’s almost impossible to truly  value anybody or anything else. Actually, its when we underestimate our essential worth that  we find ourselves making the “wrong” decisions or ending up in unsuitable, disempowering relationships, workplaces and life situations.

At any given moment, pause and ask yourself. “ How can I best value myself in this situation?” or when deciding to do something, “Does this indicate that I value myself or not?”  If it doesn’t, reconsider it.

I’ll be running two December Wrap it Up workshops on  the  17th and 18th December. (see my newsletter or email me for details) This is a good opportunity to take stock of and complete your year, before you go hurtling into Christmas and 2017.

My River of Life Workshop on the 26th November is full and I’ve been asked by a couple of people if I can run one on the 27th as well. Please let me know if you’d like to join us.

I will be available for  Astrology consults and Coaching sessions  for the first few weeks of December, so let me know if you’d like to make an appointment.

Metamorphosis in 7 Steps

Metamorphosis in 7 Steps

tree butterfly mandala

There’s some butterflyingly beautiful, transformational energy around for the next month folks. Right now, we have Venus, Mars and Jupiter (all in Virgo), in a gorgeous free flowing trine to Pluto (the planet of Transformation and ruler of Scorpio)…and then on the 23rd, the Sun  enters Scorpio, further assisting us in transmuting whatever we choose to, in our lives.

I’ve been fascinated by the concept of metamorphosis ever since I was a small child, when I spent my days poking holes into  shoe- box lids and  collecting mulberry leaves for my silkworms.   The process by which the caterpillar or worm turns into the butterfly or moth, has long been  used as a human metaphor for transforming states of consciousness, from one dimension to another.  With all this Scorpio Energy around,  I’m dedicating the next month’s writings, Facebook postings and Workshops to the Butterfly and the incredible process of Transformation.

The glorious, gorgeous butterfly, which not only lifts our spirits, but also serves the planet by pollinating our plants, starts off it’s life as a  caterpillar … doing it’s thing, eating and crawling and hanging out with other caterpillars, not for a minute envisaging life as anything other than a caterpillar.  And then one day, our little friend  decides he just doesn’t feel like doing the same old thing everyday, so he starts to shed his skin, stops eating and hangs upside down on a twig. It is here that he starts to spin himself a cocoon, and that’s as much as most of us know. He goes into the chyrsalis as a caterpillar and comes out as a butterfly… right?

Yep, but what happens in between?

Well, he starts to let go of his caterpillarness entirely. He actually starts to release enzymes which dissolve all his tissues, until there’s seemingly nothing left of him… just caterpillar soup! You can imagine that for the caterpillar, this probably feels a little confusing and disorientating to say the least! But it is there, in the midst of the apparent dissolution, that the magic starts to happen. A group of cells, known as imaginal discs survive the dissolution and using the protein rich soup around them, start to form the features of a butterfly.

There was order in the chaos after all!

Out of this imaginal place, emerges the possibility of the caterpillar transforming into something completely different.  It takes some time, but eventually, the wings start to form and he starts to push his way out of the cocoon.  But, its not over yet… our newly designed butterfly now needs to  struggle out of his cocoon all on his own.   The restriction of the cocoon and the difficulty required to get through the opening, forces fluid to flow from the body into the wings, so that they will be strong enough for him to fly. If he is helped out by anyone, he will literally never get off the ground.

For me, this  describes the energy of Scorpio and the theme of transformation so perfectly. We’ll explore the concept in more depth over the next month, as the full moon and new moon in November continue this theme.

In the meantime, consider the caterpillar’s story,  how you have experienced the different phases of metamorphisis in your own life and how you have emerged, time and time again. Its a good idea to journal or visual journal it.

Consider too, where you feel you might be in this process right now, bearing in mind that different parts of your life might be at different phases of transformation. i.e. your business might be in the cocoon stage, your relationship might be emerging!

Are you or is a part of your life:

  • Crawling around, tired of the same old, same old
  • Feeling the need to hang upside down (change your perspective)
  • In the cocoon/ withdrawn – feeling like things are dissolving and changing
  • Starting to imagine a new life
  • Getting ready to emerge
  • Struggling to emerge
  • Emerging as a butterfly

I am very excited to announce a brand new one-day workshop “Metamorphosis – Me as a Butterfly”  where we’ll  play with these themes in the Magical Imaginal Realm of meditation, movement and art.  I will be running the same workshop on Saturday 14th November and Saturday 28th November, so as to accommodate end of the year busy-ness . See below for details.

Full Moon 29th August/ September – Dance with Me!

When marimba rhythms start to play
Dance with me, make me sway
Like a lazy ocean hugs the shore
Hold me close, sway me more

As we bid August farewell, full moon in Pisces on the 29th is our last dance, before we usher in September… and Spring!

Madame de la Luna is not only in boundless Pisces, but she is also dancing cheek to cheek with Neptune, the ruler of Pisces… and the sea, making her even more oceanic, more imaginative, more dreamy than usual.

And then… there’s our masculine force, the Sun –  in pragmatic, earthy, clever Virgo, accompanied by Jupiter, which serves to expand his Virgo-ness.

Imagine an old fashioned dance floor, where it was still customary for men to cross over to the other side and ask a woman to dance. Yes… it was in this century all you young ones!

Lets go on a little flight of fancy – Pisces loves that !

The first character in our story is the Sun in Virgo – masculine,  earthy, grounded, clever, witty and pragmatic. He cuts a dashing figure, freshly shaven, immaculately turned out in his custom designed suit and stylishly cut hair. With an eagle eye, and using his incredible powers of discernment, he starts to suss out the talent on the other side of the dance floor. “She might do… but …oh no.. her nose is a little large!” Or “… Well she’s pretty, but that laugh…. too loud!.” ” Hmmm…She looks quite interesting, but really, those colour choices?”  Mr Virgo carefully and critically weighs the options, before making his move, which will be strategically planned. He likes things to be timed properly, and to be clean and orderly. He really hates chaos and does everything in his power to avoid it. In fact, he prides himself on bringing order to chaos. He favours the pure, the healthy, the fit and the hygienic. No mystical, magical stuff for him!

And then…the lights change, the marimba rhythms start to play and suddenly out of the corner of his beady eye, appears a vision of loveliness. Seemingly manifesting from the ethers, she  floats into his line of sight, this other-worldly, ethereal looking feminine phenomenon. She’s all fragility, floaty fabric,  and flowers in her hair. Her eyes are half shut, as she sways seductively to the music, seemingly lost in another world.  Miss Pisces loves to connect to and sometimes lose herself in all that is. She hates too much order, dislikes any kind of boundaries and prefers to spend her time creating, imagining, dreaming, healing, and playing. Her pleasures may very well include slowly sipping an entire bottle of excellent wine and getting more than a little tiddly, demolishing all manner of delicious tit-bits and making long and lovely love. She is oceanic and vast and difficult to catch and pin down and control – a little like an angel fish.

Mr Virgo initially is appalled that he’s even vaguely drawn to this strange creature, so he returns to his strategy of assessing the rest of the feminine contingent. However, the music is intoxicating and as  Miss  Pisces starts to dance towards him, he feels himself being irresistibly  pulled towards her. Before he knows it, he’s standing in front of her in the middle of the dance floor. His strategy and planning goes the way of the dodo, and he feels himself merging with her. She gently touches his hand, encouraging him to sway with her, flow with her. As he imbibes her gentleness, he feelshis defenses dropping…. softening… gentling.  She on the other hand, is drawn to his strength, and finds his sense of order and direction reassuring, like a welcome rudder in a turbulent sea.

And this dear hearts,  is the way I see the energy playing out for the  next few months. The feminine …meeting and integrating with the masculine and visa versa. For better or worse, in sickness and in health.  The parts of us that wish to dream and love and imagine and merge, accepting and integrating  the parts that wish to plan and strategize and order… rather than keeping  them on separate sides of the room, or the world, or the universe for that matter. To add power to this energy, we have Jupiter in Virgo opposing Neptune in Pisces, all the way until November, which effectively  continues this theme.  And… lastly, there’s Venus and Mars entering into a dance as well, for the same period, in heart-based romantic Leo.

For me, this means that we’re being given another chance to understand and integrate the sacred male and female that resides within each of us – which, if we all did, would probably end all strife, all war… all hatred!.

Most astrology clients who I see for the first time, are surprised when they realise that they are not just their sun sign (masculine), but that they have a feminine moon as well, which is often completely different to the sun. And they have a  Mars and  Venus too, which makes things even more interesting. It’s only when we understand these different parts of ourselves, that we can start to integrate them. When we can do that, we stop fighting who we are and start to love and accept ourselves, in all our complexity.

I will be running a series of workshops and retreats in September and early October, which will assist in doing just this. Please see below or contact me for details.

In the next few weeks and months,  with Mars and Venus joining together,  romantic relationships  may very well come under the spotlight. If you’re not involved,  a feeling of hopelessness may arise as to whether  you’ll ever meet the “right “ person. The potential is there for you to bring in exactly what you’re looking for, so have faith!.  If you are in a relationship, some cracks could start to show and criticism or disillusionment  could creep in, but there’s huge potential for healing whatever needs to be healed.  And, for those in happy, close relationships, this is potentially a potent time to deepen your love and have some fun as well!

And.. whatever our relationship status is with significant others, let’s not forget, the most important relationship we have is the one with ourselves. Ask yourself this full moon and this month – How can I open my heart more … to myself?  How can I be completely present with myself … despite my supposed imperfections? Can I still love me, when I’m lying on the couch, seemingly not achieving all I should be achieving, when I’m  not as thin or  as rich or as perfect as I’d like to be?

Can I sway with myself… Hold myself close, like the lazy ocean hugs the shore?

Lyrics from “Sway with Me”  Watch this old fashioned version – it will have you swaying in seconds!

In Life and Light

May kicks off with a rather intense full moon in Scorpio on Monday 4th, squaring  Jupiter – all three of which are in fixed signs. Jupiter amplifies the Taurus /Scorpio issues of money, power, passion, security and sex (to name a few). When balanced, fixed energy is consistent, loyal, reliable, stable, persistent and enduring. On the other hand, when out of whack, resistance becomes the order of the day and along with that, inflexibility, fanaticism, fear and control.

Ever given any thought as to what “resistance” actually means?  The dictionary provides synonyms such as fighting, opposition. Some synonyms interestingly include battle, hiding, denying, blocking, combat, cover, fight, friction, impeding, and struggle.

No wonder so many of us on this little blue planet are in an almost constant state of struggle, at odds with ourselves and each other. I think it’s because we spend so much time resisting reality or “what is” in the present moment. Even if we resist a past or future moment, memory or projection, we can still only resist it now.  Resistance is like trying to hold a giant beach ball under the water. It takes a LOT of energy and eventually the thing is going to pop up onto the surface anyway.

When we stop resisting whatever it is we don’t want or like, we free up a huge amount of energy to become the co-creators of what we do want and like – simple as that.

This includes pain too – Having had a long journey with physical pain myself, I now know that the more I resist it, or fight it, the more my body contracts and the worse it gets. Like-wise with emotional pain and the aspects of ourselves that we don’t like.

Carl Jung wrote the phrase “what you resist persists”, when he found that the more patients resisted shadow aspects of themselves, the more those parts grew, eventually sometimes fracturing their psyches.

The penny’s finally beginning to drop for me that the first step to loving and celebrating ourselves completely and (I believe finding peace), is accepting everything (the “good” the “bad” and the “ugly”) and resisting nothing.

As you read that sentence, you might just  feel a touch of resistance rising up in you? Wadda you mean accept everything?  Does this mean that we have to sit back and become jellyfish, relinquish our desires and dreams or stay in situations that we have the power to change?  Definitely not! It simply means that we start living more in the now, instead of projecting all our energy into the past or the future. When we accept, open to and even celebrate this moment right now, whatever it is, we become more centred and are able to respond creatively and calmly  to whatever unfolds.

For those of you who have a little bit of astrological knowledge, the house that contains 13 degrees Scorpio is where you are being encouraged to surrender control, and find greater acceptance.

Can you think of anything “out there” that you spend your precious energy resisting or trying to control? No? What about the traffic, taxi drivers, the weather, the government, the cost of living, the state of the planet, the country  – name your poison. You may want to consider whether that resistance has helped or is helping you or anybody else?  I believe we can still be helpful, without being a state of resistance – celebrating and actively doing what we can do, without getting into the drama of the story.

Bring to mind something  closer to home that you resist or want to control – your financial situation, ageing (now there’s an interesting one), empty nest syndrome, problems at work,  your partner, or the lack thereof,  your kids, dogs, parents, loneliness, an illness or physical pain, regrets about your past or fears about the future.

Close your eyes for a few moments. Pick one situation, person or thought that you resist and visualise the last time you were fully in resistance mode. Allow yourself to really get into it. Let your mind take you into a few stories associated with it.  Make the story as vivid as you can and then scan your body and see how you feel. Notice the areas of tightness, constriction, heaviness or even physical pain or discomfort. Notice the emotion you feel. See if it has a colour, a texture, a shape.

Now, still keeping the resistance in the centre of your awareness, start to reign in your thoughts a little. Bring your attention to your breath. Breathe in. Breathe out. Just that. Now breathe into the area of your body that’s been feeling uncomfortable and as you breathe out, relax your muscles. Keep doing that for a couple of moments, relaxing your body more and more on each out breath.

With each in-breath whisper what you are grateful for right now in this moment and then breathe out resistance. Now re-scan your body. Still feeling the same heat… the same frustration? Probably not. The “situation” hasn’t changed, but your response to it has. It has therefore lost its power over you in this moment, freeing you up to use your energy in ways that serve yourself and others.

You can take it further if you like. The next time you’re feeling unhappy, frustrated,  resentful, depressed or anxious, try stopping for just a few moments and considering what you’re resisting about yourself. Where do you think you are supposed to be perfect? Where do you beat yourself up? What are you ashamed of, guilty of?  What part of yourself are you angry with or dislike intensely? What part of you are you hiding?  What if you just accepted that part of yourself, exactly as it is – in this moment?

I am in the privileged situation where I get to experience and witness this almost every week in my Art and Soul classes and workshops.  For a few hours, we give ourselves the luxury of just allowing  whatEVER needs to come up, to come up –  in meditation and/or through  making art.  With each breath or brush stroke,  pencil line or clay shape, I witness magic starting to happen, as angst, fear and sadness start  become transformed into peace, clarity and even joy in that moment. The transmutation happens especially quickly when there is no resistance.

Please see below or email me for the exciting Winter RETREAT  and WORKSHOPS coming up in May, June and July.

New moon this month is on 18th May in Taurus, – time to connect with and celebrate nature, creativity and the ones you love. Mercury starts turning retrograde the next day and stays that way until 13th June. Be sure to back up all your data before and check all your travel details and contracts.

“When you surrender and stop resisting and stop trying to change that which you can’t change, but be in the moment, be fully open to the blessings you’ve already received and those that are yet to come & stand in that space of gratitude … and look at where you are and how far you’ve come and what you’ve accomplished …- when you can claim THAT and SEE that, the literal vibration of your life will change.” Oprah Winfrey

New Moon 27th July 2014

Joy of Joys… The Sun has entered Leo and we have a beautiful, brightly packaged, brand spanking New Moon in the early hours of Sunday 27th July.  This is the New Moon astrologers everywhere have been waiting for, because the Sun and Moon are both in a vibrant cheek-to-cheek dance with expansive, positive, abundant Jupiter. With this being the Chinese year of the Horse, hopefully our regal steeds, who have been champing at their bits for months now, will finally get to leap out of the starting gates.

We can all use this as a powerful opportunity to send out intentions that will help launch new creative projects and bring more love, joy, peace, abundance, meaning and passion into our lives.

But first of all, we need to check the inner gardens of our souls for any weeds that might be choking the tiny sprouts that are trying to bust their way to the surface.

Just before new moon (Saturday night) is the ideal time to put the hoe to work on the undergrowth –  the resentments; ancient family hurts: the things that you’ve tried to resolve with others but haven’t succeeded in doing;  people you need to forgive, accept or  let go of;  expectations; and those gnarly stubborn weeds of doubt that tell you that you’re flawed and faulty and will never amount to anything.

Once you’ve  unearthed them, write them down on bits of paper and then with a great deal of love and compassion, feed them into a fire and watch ’em burn.  In my own experience this really does work – try it. Each time we do it, we let another layer go…

And then… have some fun… connect to that childlike sense of wonder and magic … let yourself dream about 5 things ore qualities that you  really, really, really want to bring into your life.

Then hand the reigns  to your inner child, who is eternally creative and playful and let him or her come up with a way of sending them into the Universe.

You might want to  write them on stones and throw them into the river or  the sea. Or really get into  party mode,  put some upbeat, inspiring music on  and dance your wishes into your body… and then just after midnight… the magic hour… blow them into bubbles or balloons … one…by… one and watch as you set them free.

Enjoy… Believe in the Magic!
